Section B - Register of Practitioners Application
The purpose of the Register of Practitioners is to facilitate the professional standing of Positive Psychology Practitioners and to support the development of the profession in a manner that is ethical and transparent concerning the competencies of individuals. This is particularly important as Positive Psychology spans involvement in diverse areas of psychological intervention, such as coaching, counselling, education, training and research, to name a few. Joining the Register of Practitioners is a mandatory requirement for Professional members.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Our code of professional conduct requires a commitment to using evidence-based practice and continuing professional development to keep up to date with emergent progress relevant to your practice. We expect practitioners to keep a written record of their CPD.
CPD may (or may not) involve elements of reflective practice, research, ongoing training,
attendance at conferences/ lectures or personal study.
We have a broad view of CPD based on the benefits for:
● The practitioner, in terms of ongoing learning or skill/ personal development.
● The clients or service users.
● The quality of their practice or service delivery.
Section C - Types of CPD
Please make a brief statement below about how you have engaged in CPD over the last year, the time spent doing so and how this benefits your practice. Please attach any recent CPD certificates you have below. We recognise that different
people carry out CPD in different ways and not all the categories below will be appropriate to everyone. This is intended to support you in reviewing your progress and identifying areas for future development. For further information please see the PPG CPD policy under Policies at www.ppnetwork.org
Section D - Insurance
Important note:
If you have alternative cover or are not eligible for the PPG insurance cover, please attach your valid certificate of insurance as appropriate to your geographical region of practice.
If you practice in the areas of counselling, therapy or somatics, you may require additional
insurance to that provided by the PPG policy. Please attach any appropriate certification if
necessary.
